Key Responsibilities
The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing all quantity surveying activities, including cost estimation, budget preparation, and contract management. Duties include reviewing project drawings, preparing BOQs (Bills of Quantities), evaluating contractor claims, and ensuring cost efficiency across all project phases. The role also involves coordination with engineering and procurement teams to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting. Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of cost control systems, contract law, project estimation, and construction management practices is essential. MRICS certification will be highly preferred for this position. Candidates must be proficient in analytical thinking, negotiation, and project financial management. A valid IQAMA with at least 3 months validity is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment are also necessary.
