Key Responsibilities of the Position
As a Work Permit Receiver (WPR), you will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and verifying work permits before any work begins on the project site. Your duties include coordinating with operations, maintenance, and safety departments to ensure all permit requirements are fulfilled, conducting site inspections, identifying workplace hazards, confirming isolation and safety precautions, maintaining permit records, and ensuring all activities comply with Aramco safety standards and company procedures. You will also assist supervisors in implementing safe work practices, monitor permit validity, and stop any unsafe activities that may endanger personnel or equipment. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have relevant experience working as a Work Permit Receiver (WPR) on industrial, refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas projects. Previous Aramco project experience is highly preferred. Candidates must possess a valid WPR Certificate with a minimum of 12 months validity, along with a valid AJEER Certificate. The Iqama number must exactly match the WPR certificate, and the Iqama should remain valid for at least three months. Applicants should have strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems, hazard identification, risk assessment, safety regulations, and effective communication skills. The ability to work professionally under pressure while maintaining strict compliance with project safety standards is essential.
