Work Responsibilities and Job Duties
Firewatch personnel will be responsible for monitoring hot work areas, identifying fire hazards, and ensuring fire prevention measures are in place during welding, cutting, and other high-risk activities. They must remain alert throughout the work period and respond immediately to any unsafe conditions or emergencies.
Standby Man personnel will assist in maintaining safe working conditions in hazardous or confined areas by monitoring workers, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, and staying prepared for emergency response. Both roles require close coordination with supervisors and safety teams to ensure all shutdown operations are completed safely and in compliance with project safety regulations.
Skills and Professional Requirements
Applicants must have valid TUV certification and practical experience in shutdown or industrial safety support roles. Firewatch and Standby Man candidates should understand site safety procedures, hazard prevention methods, and emergency response practices.
Candidates must be physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working under shutdown conditions where constant attention is essential.
