Safety Officer, WPR, Electrician & Fitter

Saudi Arabia’s oil, gas, and industrial construction sector continues to depend on qualified technical and safety personnel to maintain efficient operations and safe working environments. Safety Officers, Work Permit Receivers, Electricians, and Fitters all play important roles in keeping industrial projects on schedule. Al-Aklabi General Contracting Est. has announced an urgent recruitment drive for 40 workers for a project in Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia, with food, accommodation, and transportation provided.

Available Positions and Their Importance

The recruitment covers four different job categories: Safety Officers, WPRs, Electricians, and Fitters. Safety Officers help monitor site conditions and enforce HSE procedures, while WPRs manage permit-related activities. Electricians support electrical installation and maintenance, whereas Fitters assist with mechanical and industrial work.

Together, these professionals help ensure that construction and maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Safety Officers will monitor work areas, identify potential hazards, conduct safety inspections, and ensure workers follow required PPE and site procedures. They may also support toolbox talks, risk-control activities, and incident reporting.

WPRs will coordinate work permits and communicate approved conditions to work crews. They will help ensure that activities remain within the authorized scope and that required safety controls are maintained throughout the job.

Electricians will perform electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting tasks as assigned. Fitters will support mechanical installation, assembly, maintenance, and equipment-related activities while following drawings, supervisor instructions, and safety requirements.

All selected workers are expected to maintain good communication, follow site rules, and work responsibly in an industrial environment.

Safety Officer and WPR applicants must have Aramco approval, as specifically stated in the requirement. Electrician and Fitter candidates should have relevant hands-on experience in their respective trades and be capable of working efficiently on an industrial project.

Chamber is mandatory for all applicants. The required documents include Absher Iqama, Muqeem, CR, Medical/Fitness documentation, and Original Passport. Candidates must also prepare colour copies of their documents for verification.
