Role Importance and Work Environment

The Fire Watch position plays a critical role in maintaining workplace safety in industrial and construction environments. In large-scale projects, especially within oil, gas, and infrastructure works, fire hazards are a major risk during hot work operations. The Fire Watch personnel are responsible for observing work areas, identifying potential fire risks, and ensuring that all safety protocols are strictly followed. This role directly supports accident prevention and helps maintain a safe working environment for all site workers, making it an important safety function within the project.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be responsible for monitoring all hot work activities such as welding, grinding, and cutting operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations. They will remain alert at assigned work areas and respond immediately in case of any fire hazard or emergency situation. Fire Watch personnel must ensure that fire extinguishers and safety equipment are properly available and functional at the site. They will also report unsafe conditions to supervisors and ensure that workers are following approved safety procedures. Strict attention, discipline, and continuous site monitoring are key requirements of this role.

Skills, Experience & Eligibility

Applicants must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial or construction site safety roles. Candidates should have a strong understanding of fire safety procedures, hazard identification, and emergency response protocols. Good communication skills in English are required for coordination with site teams and supervisors. A valid Chamber certificate is mandatory for eligibility. Previous experience in Gulf industrial projects or Aramco-related environments will be considered an advantage. Candidates must be physically fit, alert, and capable of working in high-risk site conditions.
