Core Responsibilities of the Roles
Each of the three roles carries distinct but interconnected responsibilities within the project’s health, safety, and lifting operations framework. Safety Supervisors are responsible for overseeing the entire HSE function on site, ensuring all activities comply with Aramco regulations, conducting audits, managing incident investigations, and leading the safety team. Safety Officers work under the supervision of the HSE Supervisor to monitor daily site activities, conduct inspections, issue safety permits, and ensure workers adhere to PPE and safety protocols at all times. Rigger Level III professionals handle all heavy lifting and rigging operations, coordinating with crane operators, preparing rigging equipment, and ensuring safe load management throughout the project. All roles require active participation in toolbox talks, daily safety briefings, and emergency response procedures.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
All candidates must hold valid Aramco-approved certifications specific to their applied role — this is a mandatory requirement with no exceptions. Safety Supervisors and Officers should have a recognized HSE qualification such as NEBOSH or equivalent, along with proven experience in oil and gas or heavy industrial environments. Candidates must be well-versed in Aramco’s HSE Management System, permit-to-work procedures, and risk assessment methodologies. Rigger Level III applicants must hold Aramco-approved rigging certification and demonstrate strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging configurations, and load calculation practices. For all three positions, prior experience on Aramco project sites will be a significant advantage.
