Key Responsibilities
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials across designated areas. Duties include loading and unloading goods from trucks, stacking materials in storage areas, and ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or loss. The operator must conduct daily equipment checks before use to ensure safety and report any mechanical issues immediately. Following site safety rules, maintaining operational discipline, and coordinating with warehouse or site supervisors are also key responsibilities. Ensuring compliance with safety standards while handling heavy loads is essential at all times.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience operating forklifts in industrial or construction environments. A valid understanding of material handling procedures and workplace safety regulations is required. Applicants should be capable of operating equipment under pressure while maintaining accuracy and safety. Familiarity with site documentation such as Iqama, Muqeem, passport, medical reports, and Chamber certificates is necessary. Strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and the ability to follow instructions precisely are important for success in this role. Prior experience in large industrial projects is an added advantage.
