Salwa Contracting Company (SGC) has announced an urgent requirement for skilled 4G SMAW Structural Welders for a long-term project in Fadhili, Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for experienced welders who specialize in structural welding and are confident in performing in the 4G welding position (overhead/plate welding). Candidates must be ready to pass a site welding test and join immediately for project execution.

Role Importance and Work Scope

Structural welders play a critical role in construction and industrial projects by ensuring the strength and durability of steel structures. The 4G welding position is one of the most demanding techniques, requiring high precision and expertise. Welders in this role contribute directly to the safety and stability of structures used in industrial facilities, making their work essential for maintaining quality standards and preventing structural failures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Selected candidates will perform welding tasks on structural steel components using the SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) process. Responsibilities include preparing materials, performing overhead welding (4G position), ensuring proper joint alignment, and maintaining welding quality according to project specifications. Welders must also conduct visual checks of welds, follow safety procedures, and maintain equipment properly. Coordination with supervisors and adherence to deadlines are important to ensure smooth project progress.

Skills, Experience & Eligibility

Applicants must have strong hands-on experience in 4G SMAW structural welding and must be capable of passing a site welding test. Candidates should understand welding symbols, joint preparation, and quality standards. Previous experience in industrial or construction projects in Saudi Arabia or GCC will be an advantage. Physical fitness and the ability to work in demanding conditions are essential. Only skilled and experienced welders will be considered for this role.
