Forklift Operator
Forklift Operators play an important role in industrial, logistics, and oil & gas project sites by safely handling and transporting heavy materials using powered industrial trucks. In large-scale operations such as Tanajib projects, certified forklift operators are essential for ensuring smooth material movement, reducing downtime, and maintaining efficient workflow across construction and operational zones. This position requires precision, safety awareness, and strong machine-handling skills, especially when working with high-capacity forklifts ranging from 3 to 16 tons. Operators are expected to follow strict safety protocols and support site logistics teams in achieving timely project execution while minimizing operational risks.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and transporting materials within the project site. Daily duties include inspecting equipment before operation, ensuring proper machine maintenance checks, and reporting any mechanical issues immediately to supervisors. The operator must handle materials carefully to avoid damage and ensure proper stacking and placement according to site requirements. Coordination with warehouse and site logistics teams is also essential to maintain smooth workflow. Additionally, the operator must strictly follow safety guidelines, wear required personal protective equipment, and comply with all site-specific operational procedures. Since this is a long-term industrial project, consistency, alertness, and discipline are essential for safe performance.
Skills and Requirements
Applicants must hold a valid Doosan SPSP certification for operating forklifts ranging from 3 to 16 tons. Previous experience in industrial, construction, or oil and gas projects will be highly preferred. Candidates should have strong knowledge of forklift operation techniques, load handling procedures, and workplace safety regulations. The ability to work under pressure and follow instructions accurately is essential. Basic understanding of maintenance checks and reporting procedures is also required.
