Safety Officer – Yanbu

Safety Officers play a key role in maintaining workplace discipline, preventing accidents, and ensuring that all construction and industrial activities are carried out according to approved safety regulations. In large petrochemical environments like Yanbu, safety professionals are essential for protecting workers, equipment, and operational processes while maintaining continuous project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Selected Safety Officers will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with SABIC safety standards at the project site. Daily duties include conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective actions to reduce operational risks. They must monitor all ongoing activities and ensure that workers follow proper safety procedures and use personal protective equipment correctly. Safety Officers will also conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions to improve workforce safety knowledge. In addition, they will prepare detailed safety reports, maintain documentation, and coordinate with project supervisors to ensure smooth and safe execution of tasks. Participation in emergency response planning and accident prevention programs is also an essential part of this role.
Skills and Requirements
Applicants must hold valid SABIC approval ID, which is mandatory for consideration. Candidates should have strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, risk assessment procedures, and construction site regulations. Experience in petrochemical or large-scale industrial projects will be highly preferred. Safety Officers must be capable of handling site documentation, preparing reports, and managing safety procedures effectively under pressure. Good communication skills are required to coordinate with management, supervisors, and workers. Candidates should also be physically fit, disciplined, and able to work in long-term industrial environments.
