Key Duties and Job Responsibilities
The Welding QC Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting all welding activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved welding procedures, project specifications, and quality standards. Duties include conducting visual inspections, verifying welding documentation, reviewing weld quality, and ensuring adherence to applicable codes and standards.
The inspector will also coordinate with fabrication teams, QA/QC engineers, and project supervisors to ensure that all welding work meets required quality benchmarks. Additional responsibilities include preparing inspection reports, identifying defects, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Required Skills and Technical Expertise
Applicants must have more than 5 years of experience in welding quality control inspection, preferably in industrial or oil and gas projects. Strong knowledge of welding codes, inspection techniques, and QA/QC procedures is required. Candidates should also be familiar with documentation processes, site coordination, and compliance requirements.
