The primary requirement is for Work Permit Receivers (WPR), along with multiple openings in safety, quality control, supervision, welding, fabrication, electrical, mechanical, and civil trades. This is a 20 to 25-day project with immediate mobilization, offering competitive hourly rates for qualified candidates. All applicants must have previous SABIC experience, and some positions require the candidate’s profession to match the designation on their Iqama. Key Responsibilities
The Work Permit Receiver (WPR) will be responsible for managing the permit-to-work system, ensuring all work activities are properly authorized before commencement, and coordinating with operations, supervisors, and safety personnel to maintain compliance with SABIC safety regulations. Depending on the selected position, Fire Watch personnel will monitor hot work areas and respond to fire hazards, Safety Officers will enforce HSE regulations, Civil QC and Mechanical QC professionals will inspect construction quality, Supervisors and Foremen will oversee workforce activities, while Welders, Fabricators, Pipe Fitters, Electricians, and Helpers will perform trade-specific duties according to project standards. Every employee is expected to follow company policies, maintain workplace safety, and contribute to the successful completion of the shutdown project.
Skills and Professional Knowledge
Candidates must have relevant experience in their respective trades, with SABIC experience being mandatory for all positions. WPR and Safety Officer applicants should have the same profession listed on their Iqama. Civil QC candidates must possess a relevant engineering degree in addition to industrial experience. Applicants should have excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment. A valid AJEER registration, SABIC medical certificate, and complete employment documents are mandatory. Candidates must also bring their original passport, as entry to the recruitment office will not be permitted without it.
