Role Overview and Industry Importance

A Rigger Level III is responsible for planning and supervising lifting operations, inspecting lifting equipment, verifying load calculations, and ensuring every lift is carried out safely and efficiently. They work closely with crane operators, supervisors, safety officers, and project engineers to coordinate lifting activities while preventing accidents and equipment damage.

Industrial projects require experienced riggers to maintain productivity while protecting workers, equipment, and project assets. Their technical expertise helps ensure that lifting operations comply with industry standards, client requirements, and company safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will inspect slings, shackles, hooks, lifting beams, and other rigging equipment before use. They will calculate load weights, identify safe lifting points, prepare lifting accessories, coordinate with crane operators, supervise lifting operations, monitor worksite safety, maintain lifting records, and ensure compliance with project safety regulations. Candidates will also participate in toolbox meetings and follow all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Applicants must possess a Third-Party Rigger Level III Certification and have previous experience working on industrial or oil & gas projects. A Vendor Code and Chamber are mandatory requirements for this position. Candidates should also have strong knowledge of lifting techniques, rigging hardware, load calculations, lifting plans, and safe work practices.
