Role Overview and Project Importance
A Work Permit Receiver (WPR) plays a key role in ensuring that authorized work is performed under the conditions specified in an approved permit. The position involves coordinating with permit authorities, supervisors, and work crews before and during the job.
For tank and industrial maintenance activities, a WPR helps ensure that required precautions are understood and maintained. Strong attention to permit conditions, communication skills, and knowledge of Aramco work procedures are therefore essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Selected WPRs will receive and review approved work permits and communicate the applicable requirements to the workers carrying out the task. They will coordinate with supervisors and relevant site personnel to confirm that required controls are established before work begins.
During operations, WPRs may monitor compliance with permit conditions, check that work remains within the approved scope, and coordinate with responsible personnel if conditions change. They should report unsafe situations immediately and ensure that work is stopped or escalated when permit requirements are no longer satisfied.
The role may involve room-to-room duty and overtime, including Friday work, depending on project requirements.
Skills, Experience and Eligibility
Applicants must hold the required Aramco WPR qualification/certificate and meet the specific validity conditions mentioned in the recruitment notice. The candidate’s Iqama must be valid for more than three months, and the Iqama number must match the number shown on the relevant certificate.
The certificate must have a minimum validity of 12 months. Ajeer is mandatory for this requirement. Candidates should carefully verify these conditions before submitting their documents.
