Core Responsibilities of the Role
A Rigger Level III on an Aramco project site is expected to lead and execute all rigging and lifting activities safely and efficiently. Core duties include selecting and inspecting rigging equipment prior to each lift, preparing rigging arrangements in accordance with approved lifting plans, and coordinating directly with crane operators and lifting supervisors throughout every operation. The rigger is also responsible for ensuring that all lifting gear meets Aramco’s certification and inspection requirements and that any defective equipment is immediately removed from service and reported. Active participation in daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and permit-to-work procedures is a standard expectation for this role on Aramco-related project sites.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
A valid Aramco Approved Rigger Level III certification is the primary and non-negotiable requirement for this position. Candidates must bring demonstrated experience in heavy industrial or oil and gas environments, with a thorough understanding of rigging configurations, load calculations, lifting equipment classifications, and slinging techniques. Familiarity with Aramco’s HSE standards, lifting safety regulations, and site permit systems is essential. The ability to read and follow lifting method statements and rigging drawings is a core competency expected at this level. Candidates who have previously worked on Aramco project sites in similar roles will be given strong preference during the selection process.
