Work Permit Receivers

The Work Permit Receiver is a critical safety role within Aramco’s permit-to-work system, forming the frontline of hazard control and operational compliance on active project sites. At Ras Tanura — one of Aramco’s most significant industrial and refinery complexes in Saudi Arabia — maintaining a fully certified and compliant WPR team is essential to safe and uninterrupted project execution. With 10 positions currently available on a long-term basis, this is a substantial hiring opportunity for certified WPR professionals who hold valid Aramco approval and meet all mandatory documentation requirements. Immediate mobilization is expected, and only candidates with complete and current credentials will be shortlisted.

Core Responsibilities of the Role

A Work Permit Receiver serves as the authorized representative on the worksite who receives, reviews, and ensures full compliance with Aramco’s work permits before any task commences. The WPR is responsible for confirming that all conditions stated in the permit are met, that the work area is safe, and that all hazards have been identified and controlled prior to allowing work to begin. Ongoing duties include monitoring permit validity throughout the workday, coordinating with the issuing authority when scope or conditions change, and ensuring proper permit closure at the end of each shift. The role demands constant vigilance, strong communication with supervisors and work crews, and a thorough understanding of Aramco’s permit-to-work standards and safety regulations.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold a valid Aramco-approved Work Permit Receiver certificate with a minimum remaining validity of six months — this is a strict requirement and cannot be substituted. A valid Iqama with at least three months remaining is also mandatory, and critically, the Iqama number must match the details on the WPR certificate exactly. Prior experience working within Aramco’s permit-to-work system on active project sites is strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of hazard identification, isolation procedures, and safe work practices applicable to industrial and refinery environments. Ajeer registration is required for all applicants before mobilization can be processed.
