Fire Watcher

EGT Contracting Company Ltd. has announced a very urgent requirement for the position of Fire Watcher for a fire safety project in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia. Role Importance and Work Scope

The Fire Watcher plays a critical role in maintaining safety during hazardous activities such as welding, cutting, and other hot work operations. In industrial projects, especially in oil & gas environments, fire risks are a major concern. Fire Watchers ensure that work areas remain safe, monitor potential hazards, and respond quickly in case of emergencies. Their presence helps prevent accidents and ensures compliance with safety regulations, making them an essential part of any safety-focused project.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be responsible for monitoring all hot work activities and ensuring that fire safety measures are properly followed. Duties include observing work areas, identifying fire hazards, and ensuring that fire extinguishers and safety equipment are available and functional. Fire Watchers must remain alert at all times, report unsafe conditions, and take immediate action in case of emergencies. They will also coordinate with supervisors and safety officers to maintain a safe working environment throughout the project.

Skills, Experience & Eligibility

Applicants must have a valid HATI (Human Assets Training Institute) or BAYAN International certification, which is mandatory for this role. Basic English communication skills are required for coordination and understanding safety instructions. Candidates should have awareness of fire safety procedures and experience in industrial or construction environments will be an advantage.
