The Role of Equipment Operators in Industrial Projects
Forklift and Man Lift Operators are responsible for moving materials, equipment, and personnel safely around busy work sites. Their work supports warehouse operations, construction activities, material handling, and industrial project logistics. Because these machines can carry heavy loads or operate at significant heights, operators must understand equipment controls, operating limits, site procedures, and basic safety requirements.
This recruitment includes several forklift categories, from 2.5-ton units to a 20-ton heavy-duty forklift, as well as a 24-meter Man Lift. The variety of equipment makes this opportunity particularly relevant for operators with experience on specific machine types.
Responsibilities on the Job
Selected operators will operate their assigned equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and project safety procedures. Forklift Operators may be responsible for loading, unloading, lifting, transporting, positioning, and stacking materials while maintaining awareness of pedestrians, vehicles, structures, and other equipment nearby.
Operators must inspect equipment before use, report mechanical or safety issues to the appropriate team, and avoid operating machinery beyond its rated capacity. Man Lift Operators will handle aerial work equipment and support personnel working at elevated locations, ensuring safe positioning and operation according to site instructions. Maintaining good housekeeping around operating areas and following instructions from supervisors will also be important parts of the job.
Experience and Eligibility
Candidates should have practical experience operating the type of equipment for which they are applying. Experience with Toyota, CAT, Hyster, Doosan, Snorkel, or JLG equipment can be particularly relevant because these brands and models are specified in the requirement.
