Key Duties and Responsibilities
The HSE Officer is responsible for monitoring workplace activities, conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective actions to prevent incidents. Daily responsibilities include enforcing company safety policies, delivering toolbox talks, investigating accidents and near misses, maintaining safety records, and ensuring compliance with project and client safety requirements. The selected candidate will coordinate with project teams to promote a strong safety culture, conduct risk assessments, and ensure that all employees follow established health, safety, and environmental procedures. Maintaining compliance with industry regulations and supporting continuous safety improvement initiatives are essential aspects of this role.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Candidates must have more than five years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry and possess strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental management systems. Applicants should hold valid certifications such as FNS, BLS, IOSH, and NEBOSH. Experience working on Maaden projects will be considered a significant advantage. A relevant degree is preferred for this position. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to conduct safety training, inspections, and incident investigations.
