Instrument Technician & Fire Watch

Role Responsibilities
Instrument Technicians are responsible for installing, testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining field instruments, transmitters, gauges, sensors, analyzers, control valves, and other instrumentation equipment. They inspect systems, identify faults, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, prepare maintenance reports, and work closely with engineers and supervisors to ensure all instrumentation functions accurately according to project specifications.
Fire Watch personnel continuously monitor areas where welding, cutting, grinding, or other hot work activities are taking place. Their responsibilities include identifying fire hazards, maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring firefighting equipment is readily available, observing work until completion, responding immediately to any signs of fire, and ensuring all safety regulations and permit requirements are strictly followed throughout the operation.
Required Skills and Professional Knowledge
Applicants for the Instrument Technician position should have solid knowledge of industrial instrumentation systems, calibration techniques, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting methods, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&ID diagrams. Previous experience in oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial projects is highly desirable, along with strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and attention to detail.
