Main Responsibilities & Work Duties
The selected Manlift or Spider Lift Operators will be responsible for operating lifting equipment safely and efficiently according to project requirements and supervisor instructions. Daily duties may include inspecting the machine before operation, checking controls and safety systems, positioning the equipment correctly, and safely lifting workers or materials as permitted by the equipment’s operating requirements. Operators should remain aware of surrounding workers, structures, overhead hazards, and ground conditions while operating the machine. They must follow site safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, report equipment problems promptly, and avoid operating machinery when unsafe conditions exist. Proper communication with supervisors and other site personnel is essential for completing lifting activities safely and efficiently.
Required Skills & Equipment Knowledge
Applicants should have practical experience operating Manlift or Spider Lift equipment and understand basic machine safety, pre-operation inspections, and safe operating procedures. Candidates should be capable of following instructions, recognizing potential hazards, and working responsibly around other workers and equipment.
