Main Duties & Responsibilities

A Manlift Operator is responsible for safely operating the assigned mobile elevated work platform according to manufacturer instructions and site procedures. Duties may include conducting pre-use equipment checks, confirming that the work area is suitable for operation, positioning the machine correctly, operating the platform safely, and maintaining communication with workers at ground level. Operators should remain alert to overhead obstructions, uneven surfaces, nearby equipment, power lines, and other site hazards. They must also follow instructions from supervisors and stop operations whenever unsafe conditions are identified. Proper equipment handling is particularly important when working around active construction or industrial operations.

Skills, Certification & Knowledge
