Role Description & Industry Importance
Riggers play an important role in industrial construction, shutdown, and heavy equipment operations. They are responsible for safely handling lifting activities, guiding crane operations, and ensuring materials and equipment are moved securely on-site. In industrial projects, proper rigging operations are essential for maintaining workplace safety and preventing accidents during heavy lifting tasks.
Rigger Level II professionals work closely with crane operators, supervisors, and site management teams to ensure all lifting activities comply with safety regulations and approved lifting plans. Their role directly contributes to project efficiency, operational safety, and smooth workflow execution within industrial environments.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for assisting and supervising lifting operations according to approved safety standards and project procedures. Duties include inspecting lifting tools and equipment before use, attaching loads securely, guiding crane operators during lifting activities, and ensuring proper communication during operations.
Riggers must also identify potential hazards in lifting areas and ensure all activities comply with workplace safety requirements. Skills and Professional Requirements
Applicants must have previous experience working as a Rigger Level II in industrial or construction projects. A valid Original TUV Certificate is mandatory for this role. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of lifting procedures, rigging equipment, load handling techniques, and workplace safety practices.
