Role Description & Industry Importance
The Safety Officer plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, especially in Aramco-regulated projects where safety standards are extremely strict. This position ensures that all work activities follow proper safety procedures, minimizing risks and preventing accidents. In large industrial and oil & gas operations, safety officers are responsible for enforcing policies, monitoring site conditions, and ensuring worker protection. Without proper safety management, projects may face serious risks, delays, and regulatory issues.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for monitoring daily site operations and ensuring compliance with Aramco safety regulations. Duties include conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective measures. Safety Officers will also deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and risk assessments to workers. They must ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain detailed safety records. Reporting incidents, coordinating with management, and ensuring safe work practices across all activities are key responsibilities of this role.
Skills and Professional Requirements
