ROLE OVERVIEW AND INDUSTRY IMPORTANCE

Safety Officers play a critical role in oil & gas operations by ensuring compliance with industrial safety standards and preventing workplace incidents. In major production and maintenance zones such as Ras Tanura and Saffaniyah, safety professionals are responsible for monitoring hazardous activities, enforcing safety procedures, and ensuring all operations meet strict standards set by Saudi Aramco. Their work is essential in maintaining operational safety, protecting personnel, and ensuring uninterrupted production activities.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety Officers are responsible for conducting daily site inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented immediately. They monitor field operations, verify compliance with safety procedures, and ensure workers follow proper PPE usage. Additional responsibilities include conducting toolbox talks, preparing safety reports, reviewing risk assessments, and coordinating with site management to ensure safe execution of all activities. They also ensure emergency preparedness and maintain compliance with Aramco safety requirements.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be Aramco approved with a minimum of 6 years of Aramco experience in Saudi Arabia. Candidates must possess original Aramco documentation and valid work experience records. Required documents include Absher Iqama, Muqeem, insurance, GOSI, and complete medical records. Strong knowledge of industrial safety systems, hazard management, and oil & gas operational procedures is essential. Candidates should be physically fit, highly disciplined, and capable of working in demanding field environments.
