Safety Officer

Role Importance and Work Scope

The Safety Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that all site activities are carried out in compliance with Aramco safety standards. In large oil & gas environments like Jafurah, maintaining safety is essential to prevent accidents, protect workers, and ensure uninterrupted operations. The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing safety policies, monitoring daily activities, and maintaining a hazard-free work environment. This role directly contributes to project efficiency, workforce protection, and regulatory compliance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising and enforcing safety procedures across the project site. Duties include conducting regular inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions to reduce risks. The Safety Officer will ensure that all workers follow proper safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Responsibilities also include conducting toolbox talks, safety inductions, and maintaining safety documentation and reports. The role requires close coordination with supervisors and project management to ensure all operations comply with Aramco safety regulations.

Skills, Experience & Eligibility

Applicants must be Aramco approved Safety Officers with a minimum of 5 years of experience in oil & gas or industrial construction projects. A valid NEBOSH certification is mandatory for this position. Candidates should have strong knowledge of safety procedures, hazard identification, and risk management practices. Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or Gulf projects will be an advantage.
