Safety Officer, WPR & Fire Watch
Industrial and petrochemical projects continue to offer valuable employment opportunities across Saudi Arabia, particularly for professionals with experience in major plant operations and shutdown environments. The Yanpet area remains an important employment hub for skilled safety personnel, permit coordinators, and site support workers. An urgent recruitment drive is now underway for Safety Officers, Work Permit Receivers, and Fire Watch personnel for a project associated with Anabeeb at the Main Column. Candidates who meet the stated requirements and are available for the scheduled interview should complete the office submission process without delay.
Understanding the Available Roles
The recruitment includes three important site positions: Safety Officer, WPR, and Fire Watch. Each role contributes directly to maintaining safe and controlled working conditions within an industrial project. Candidates with previous SABIC experience are required, making this opportunity particularly relevant to professionals who understand the procedures, documentation standards, and safety expectations commonly followed at large petrochemical facilities.
The positions are offered on a project basis for an initial period of two months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements and performance. Company-provided FAT is included for the selected manpower.
Daily Responsibilities and Site Duties
Safety Officers will be responsible for monitoring workplace conditions, identifying hazards, conducting safety inspections, supporting toolbox meetings, and ensuring workers follow approved HSE procedures. They will also coordinate with supervisors and work crews to address unsafe conditions and maintain proper site safety documentation.
WPR professionals will handle work permit-related responsibilities, helping ensure that jobs are properly authorized before activities begin. They must understand permit requirements, coordinate with relevant site personnel, and verify that necessary precautions are in place.
Fire Watch personnel will monitor designated work areas during activities that may create fire or ignition hazards. Their duties include maintaining constant observation, ensuring firefighting equipment is readily available, identifying unsafe conditions, and responding according to established emergency procedures.
Skills, Experience and Eligibility
Candidates applying for these positions should have relevant industrial or petrochemical experience, with SABIC experience specifically required for this recruitment. WPR and Fire Watch applicants must also possess a valid TUV certification as stated in the vacancy announcement. Applicants should have valid Iqama, Muqeem, passport, medical documentation, and CR-related documents ready for submission.
The ability to understand site safety procedures, communicate effectively with workers and supervisors, and follow strict industrial protocols will be important for successful candidates. Since the interview is scheduled shortly after the vacancy announcement, applicants should be immediately available and prepared to complete the required documentation process.
