Safety Officer, WPR & Fire Watch

Al Yamama Company is urgently hiring experienced professionals for multiple positions including Safety Officer, Work Permit Receiver (WPR), and Fire Watcher for a long-term project at Ma’aden Aluminium in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. These roles are critical for maintaining site safety, managing permit systems, and monitoring hazardous work activities in a large-scale industrial environment. Candidates with relevant experience in construction or industrial safety operations are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with site safety regulations, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and enforcing safe work practices across the project site. Duties also include conducting toolbox talks, maintaining safety records, and coordinating with project teams to ensure a safe working environment.

The Work Permit Receiver (WPR) will manage and process work permits before any site activity begins. Responsibilities include coordinating with safety departments, verifying job site readiness, ensuring permit compliance, and maintaining proper documentation throughout operations.

The Fire Watcher will monitor hot work activities such as welding, cutting, and grinding. The role includes identifying fire risks, ensuring firefighting equipment is available, and maintaining continuous surveillance during hazardous operations to prevent fire incidents.

Skills and Knowledge

Applicants should have prior experience in industrial or oil & gas projects. Safety Officers must have strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards. WPR candidates must understand permit-to-work systems and site coordination procedures. Fire Watchers should be trained in hazard identification and emergency response procedures. All candidates must be physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working in demanding environments.
