Work Permit Receiver
The Aramco WPR (Work Permit Receiver) position stands as one of the most operationally critical roles within the oil and gas sector in Saudi Arabia. Employers in this space depend heavily on individuals who can coordinate seamlessly between field teams and permit authorities, ensuring that all work activities are authorized, documented, and carried out in full compliance with Saudi Aramco’s stringent safety standards. JABAL AL SAFAT TRADING EST is currently seeking ten qualified professionals for immediate mobilization, making this an urgent opportunity for candidates already present in the Kingdom and ready to deploy without delay.
Role Overview and Industry Significance
The Work Permit Receiver serves as the frontline gatekeeper of safe operations on Aramco project sites. This individual is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and executing work permits issued by authorized area authorities before any task begins. In the high-stakes environment of Aramco projects, even a minor lapse in permit compliance can result in costly shutdowns, safety incidents, or contractual penalties. The WPR role therefore carries significant weight — it bridges the gap between technical planning and on-ground execution, protecting both workers and assets throughout every phase of project activity.
Core Duties and Daily Responsibilities
The individual filling this role will be expected to receive and verify work permits from the issuing authority prior to the commencement of any job. They will conduct thorough site inspections to confirm that all safety measures, isolation procedures, and hazard controls are in place before authorizing work to begin. Throughout the shift, the WPR monitors the worksite continuously, ensuring compliance with permit conditions and intervening if deviations occur. They are also responsible for closing out permits at the end of each work cycle and maintaining accurate records of all permit transactions. Coordination with supervisors, safety officers, and field teams is a daily function of this role.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Candidates must hold a valid Saudi Aramco WPR certification, which is a non-negotiable requirement for deployment on Aramco sites. Prior hands-on experience in similar roles on upstream or downstream Aramco projects is strongly preferred. A solid understanding of Permit to Work systems, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and hazardous area classification is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong situational awareness, the ability to work under pressure, and clear communication skills in both English and Arabic where applicable. Those with current valid documents — including Iqama, medical fitness certification, and Chamber registration — will be given immediate priority.
