Role Description & Industry Importance
Work Permit Receivers (WPR) are responsible for controlling and monitoring permit systems in industrial environments. They coordinate with safety departments and ensure that all work activities follow approved safety standards and operational procedures. Fire Watchers are responsible for monitoring hot work activities such as welding, cutting, and grinding operations. Their role is critical in preventing fire incidents and maintaining workplace safety in industrial and petrochemical facilities. Both positions are essential in maintaining safety compliance and reducing operational risks in industrial projects.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
WPR personnel will verify work permits, coordinate with supervisors and safety teams, and ensure all activities comply with approved industrial safety procedures. Fire Watchers will monitor hot work areas, identify fire hazards, maintain firefighting equipment readiness, and immediately report unsafe conditions. All candidates must follow site safety standards and work according to SABIC regulations and industrial safety protocols.
Skills and Professional Requirements
Applicants must have relevant industrial project experience and valid SABIC approval for their respective positions. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of industrial safety practices, permit systems, hazard identification, and emergency response procedures.
