HSE Officer, Fire Watch, Work Permit Issuer
The Work Permit Issuer plays a critical role in maintaining workplace safety and ensuring that all authorized activities are carried out in compliance with project regulations. This position is responsible for issuing work permits, verifying safety requirements, and coordinating with different departments before work begins. It is an essential role in large-scale industrial and EPC projects, particularly within Aramco facilities, where strict safety standards and operational procedures must be followed. Primary Responsibilities and Daily Duties
A Work Permit Issuer is responsible for reviewing work requests, verifying that all safety precautions have been implemented, issuing and monitoring work permits, coordinating with supervisors, HSE teams, and project personnel, and ensuring compliance with Aramco safety procedures. Daily responsibilities include conducting site inspections, confirming hazard control measures, maintaining accurate permit records, communicating permit conditions to workers, and suspending or canceling permits whenever unsafe conditions arise. The role also requires close coordination with project management to support smooth project execution while maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Industry Knowledge
Candidates should have previous experience working on Aramco projects and possess a solid understanding of EPC project environments. Strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems, industrial safety standards, hazard identification, and risk assessment is essential.
