The Role of a Safety Officer on an Industrial Project

A capable Safety Officer helps workers understand site requirements, identifies risks before incidents occur, and works with supervisors to implement corrective measures.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Site Duties
The selected Safety Officers will monitor work areas and observe ongoing activities for unsafe conditions or practices. Their responsibilities may include conducting site inspections, supporting toolbox meetings, checking the correct use of personal protective equipment, identifying hazards, and communicating safety instructions to workers and supervisors.
They may also assist with safety documentation, incident reporting, corrective-action follow-up, and maintaining site safety records.
