Role Description & Industry Importance
These roles are essential in industrial maintenance, construction, and oil & gas projects where surface protection and corrosion control are critical. Abrasive Blasters are responsible for preparing metal surfaces using high-pressure blasting techniques to ensure proper coating adhesion. Coating Applicators (Airless Spray Painters) apply protective coatings to industrial structures and pipelines using specialized spray equipment. Brush Painters perform manual coating applications in detailed or small-scale areas where precision is required. Coating Inspectors ensure that all coating work meets quality standards, inspection requirements, and Aramco-approved procedures. Their role is vital in maintaining long-term durability and corrosion protection of industrial assets.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Abrasive Blasters will prepare surfaces by removing rust, old coatings, and contaminants using blasting equipment. Coating Applicators will operate airless spray systems to apply coatings evenly and according to technical specifications. Brush Painters will perform touch-up and detail painting work in designated areas to ensure complete coverage and finish quality. Coating Inspectors will monitor coating operations, verify compliance with standards, and ensure proper application procedures are followed. All workers must follow strict safety guidelines, maintain discipline, and ensure high-quality workmanship throughout project execution.
Skills and Professional Requirements
Applicants must have relevant industrial coating, blasting, or painting experience. Aramco-approved JCC certification is mandatory for most positions. Coating Inspectors must have strong knowledge of inspection procedures and quality control standards in industrial coating projects. Candidates must ensure all required documents are valid, complete, and ready for submission before mobilization.
