Role Description & Industry Importance
Fire Watch personnel play a critical role in monitoring hot work activities and preventing fire-related hazards during shutdown operations. Candidates with previous SADARA approval or shutdown experience are highly preferred due to the strict safety environment of the project. Safety Officers are responsible for ensuring compliance with industrial safety regulations, conducting inspections, and maintaining hazard-free working conditions on-site. WPR (Work Permit Receiver) personnel manage permit-to-work systems and coordinate safe work execution according to approved industrial procedures. These positions are essential for maintaining safety, operational control, and smooth project execution during shutdown activities.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Fire Watch personnel will monitor hot work areas, identify fire hazards, and respond immediately to emergency situations while ensuring compliance with shutdown safety procedures. Safety Officers will conduct site inspections, enforce PPE and safety rules, investigate hazards, and maintain safe working conditions throughout the project. WPR personnel will manage work permits, coordinate with supervisors and safety teams, and ensure all work activities are properly authorized before execution. All workers must maintain discipline, follow company safety procedures, and support efficient shutdown operations.
Skills and Professional Requirements
Applicants must have relevant industrial or shutdown project experience. Fire Watch candidates should have previous SADARA approval or shutdown experience and must be able to communicate in English. Safety Officers should possess strong knowledge of industrial safety regulations and hazard control procedures. WPR candidates must have experience with permit-to-work systems in industrial environments. All applicants must have valid documents including Chamber and GOSI registration. A minimum of 60 days Iqama validity is mandatory.
