Fire Watcher & WPR Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s industrial projects require trained safety personnel to help control workplace hazards and maintain safe working conditions during construction and maintenance activities. Fire Watchers and Work Permit Receivers are particularly important in environments where hot work, maintenance operations, and other controlled activities are taking place. Montreal Limited L.L.C has announced an urgent recruitment requirement in Jubail for Fire Watchers and Hadeed-Approved WPRs. A total of 7 positions are available for a one-month assignment, with Ajeer and Chamber required for the recruitment process.

Role Overview & Importance

Fire Watchers help maintain safety around activities that may produce sparks, flames, or excessive heat. Their presence can help identify fire hazards early and ensure that appropriate precautions remain in place during hot work.

A Work Permit Receiver (WPR) has a different but equally important responsibility. WPR personnel help ensure that work is carried out according to approved permit conditions and that workers understand the safety requirements associated with their assigned activities. For this vacancy, WPR candidates must have Hadeed approval, making project-specific experience and authorization important considerations.

Daily Duties & Site Responsibilities

Fire Watchers will generally monitor designated work areas during hot work and other potentially hazardous operations. They may watch for sparks, smoke, flames, or unsafe conditions, maintain awareness of nearby combustible materials, and immediately communicate hazards to supervisors or responsible personnel. They may also need to remain familiar with emergency procedures and the location of available fire-fighting equipment.

WPR personnel may review work permits, coordinate with permit issuers and supervisors, communicate permit conditions to work crews, and monitor whether ongoing activities remain within the approved scope. They should be able to recognize changes in site conditions and ensure that work is stopped or escalated when required safety conditions are no longer satisfied.

Skills, Experience & Eligibility

Applicants should have relevant industrial or construction experience for the position they are applying for. Fire Watch candidates should understand basic fire-prevention practices and remain attentive throughout assigned work periods. WPR applicants should have practical knowledge of permit-controlled work environments and meet the stated Hadeed approval requirement.

The recruitment announcement requires CV, Iqama, Muqeem, Medical, Passport, Ajeer, and Chamber. Candidates should ensure their documents are valid and available for verification. Since the requirement is urgent and the assignment is short term, interested applicants should contact the recruitment team promptly to confirm the selection and mobilization procedure.
