Role Overview and Industry Importance
Safety Officers are responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment on industrial construction, refinery, petrochemical, and oil & gas projects. They play a key role in preventing workplace accidents by implementing safety regulations, conducting inspections, and ensuring all project activities comply with Aramco HSE standards. Their expertise helps protect workers, equipment, and project operations while maintaining productivity and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will conduct daily site safety inspections, identify workplace hazards, monitor compliance with Aramco safety procedures, verify the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and investigate incidents when necessary. They will prepare safety reports, conduct toolbox talks, monitor permit-to-work activities, coordinate emergency response procedures, and work closely with project supervisors to maintain a safe working environment. Safety Officers are also responsible for ensuring all activities comply with client specifications and international HSE standards.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Applicants should have previous experience as a Safety Officer on industrial, refinery, petrochemical, or oil and gas projects. A valid Aramco Safety Approval is mandatory for this position. Candidates should possess excellent knowledge of industrial safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency response procedures, and HSE documentation. Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and the capability to work effectively under pressure are essential. A valid Vendor Code is also required for this recruitment.
