Safety officer , WPR ,Fire Watch, Stand By Man
Industrial projects in Saudi Arabia place a strong emphasis on workplace safety, permit compliance, and controlled operations. As construction, maintenance, and petrochemical activities continue around major industrial hubs such as Jubail, companies need trained personnel who understand site safety procedures and can respond effectively to operational risks. Sara General Contracting is currently seeking S-Chem authorized professionals for several important site positions. The recruitment includes opportunities for Stand By Men, Fire Watch personnel, Safety Officers, and Work Permit Receivers, with mobilization scheduled for October 2026.
Roles Supporting Safe and Efficient Site Operations
Safety-related positions are essential to maintaining controlled working conditions, particularly in industrial environments where hot work, confined spaces, lifting activities, and maintenance operations may take place simultaneously. S-Chem authorization gives candidates an important project-specific qualification for these roles.
The Stand By Man and Fire Watch positions focus on monitoring work areas and helping identify unsafe conditions or potential fire hazards. A Safety Officer takes a broader role in workplace inspections, safety compliance, hazard identification, and communication with workers and supervisors. Meanwhile, the WPR (Work Permit Receiver) is responsible for handling permit-related requirements and ensuring that authorized work is carried out according to established procedures.
Responsibilities and Workplace Expectations
Selected candidates will be expected to perform their assigned duties responsibly and maintain a strong safety-first approach. Stand By Men may monitor designated work areas and remain alert throughout ongoing activities. Fire Watch personnel are generally required to watch for sparks, flames, smoke, or other hazards during applicable work and immediately report unsafe situations.
Safety Officers may conduct routine site inspections, observe work practices, encourage proper PPE use, identify hazards, and communicate corrective actions. WPR personnel will coordinate work permit requirements, communicate with relevant site teams, and help ensure that work begins only after the required controls are in place.
All candidates should be comfortable working in an industrial environment, following instructions, and communicating professionally with supervisors and work crews.
Candidate Eligibility and Required Records
Applicants should hold the relevant S-Chem authorization for the position they are applying for. Candidates with practical industrial safety, permit-to-work, or fire-watch experience may be better prepared for the responsibilities involved.
The recruitment notice requires several documents, including a CV, Absher Iqama, Muqeem, Passport, Medical, License, Istemah, and Chamber. Applicants should ensure that their documents are valid and available for verification before proceeding. Candidates should also confirm whether any additional project-specific requirements apply before mobilization.
