Role Overview and Industry Importance

A Safety Rigging Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring all lifting and rigging activities to ensure they are performed safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry standards. The role is critical on oil & gas and petrochemical projects, where heavy lifting operations require strict compliance with safety regulations. By overseeing rigging operations, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring proper lifting practices, the supervisor helps prevent accidents, protect personnel, and maintain efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will supervise daily rigging operations, review lifting plans, verify the suitability of lifting equipment, ensure proper rigging techniques are followed, and monitor compliance with safety procedures. Responsibilities include conducting toolbox talks, inspecting cranes and lifting accessories, coordinating with lifting supervisors, crane operators, and project engineers, identifying workplace hazards, implementing corrective actions, maintaining lifting records, and ensuring all lifting activities comply with company, client, and international safety standards.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in oil & gas or petrochemical projects, with demonstrated expertise in supervising rigging safety operations. A valid Rigger Level I Qualification is mandatory.
