Rigger III & WPR (Saudi Arabia)
Saudi Arabia’s oil, gas, and industrial construction sectors continue to require qualified manpower for major projects across the Eastern Province. Skilled riggers and Work Permit Receivers are particularly important on sites where heavy lifting, maintenance, and permit-controlled activities must be completed according to strict safety procedures. Gulf Pak General Contracting Est. has announced an urgent requirement for 15 Rigger III workers and 20 WPRs, offering a four-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Current Vacancies and Role Importance
The recruitment is aimed at experienced professionals who already meet the required Aramco certification or approval standards. Rigger III personnel support critical lifting operations, while Work Permit Receivers help ensure that authorized work is carried out according to approved permit conditions.
These roles are essential on industrial projects because safe coordination between workers, supervisors, lifting teams, and permit authorities can directly affect both productivity and workplace safety.
Responsibilities of Rigger III and WPR Professionals
Rigger III workers will assist with preparing and securing loads for lifting operations. Their duties may include selecting appropriate rigging accessories, checking slings and lifting equipment, attaching loads, guiding suspended materials, and communicating with crane operators and lifting supervisors. They must maintain safe exclusion zones and follow approved lifting procedures.
WPRs will support the work-permit process by receiving and reviewing permits, communicating permit conditions to work crews, and ensuring that required controls are in place before work begins. They may coordinate with supervisors and authorized personnel throughout the activity and help ensure that permit requirements remain followed while work is underway.
Both positions require strong awareness of site safety requirements and effective communication.
Skills, Experience and Eligibility
Rigger III applicants must meet the stated Aramco-approved requirement, while WPR candidates must hold the required Aramco certification. Practical experience in oil and gas, industrial construction, maintenance, or similar project environments will be highly relevant.
The recruitment notice requests normal documents, Vendor Code, and direct/third-party sponsorship with Chamber. Candidates should make sure their documentation is valid, genuine, and suitable for verification.
The assignment is scheduled for four months and extendable, making it suitable for qualified workers seeking a project opportunity with potential continuation in Saudi Arabia.
