Role Overview and Industry Importance
A Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that all workplace activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. On Aramco projects, Safety Officers play a vital role in preventing accidents, minimizing operational risks, and ensuring compliance with Aramco safety standards. They work closely with project managers, supervisors, and workers to create a safe working environment, conduct inspections, and promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will conduct daily safety inspections, monitor worksite activities, identify potential hazards, implement corrective actions, ensure compliance with Aramco HSE procedures, conduct toolbox talks, investigate incidents, prepare safety reports, monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), review work permits, and coordinate with project management to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. The Safety Officer will also ensure all employees follow company and client safety regulations throughout the project.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Applicants should have previous experience as a Safety Officer on industrial, refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas projects. A valid Aramco Safety Officer Approval is mandatory for this position. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency response procedures, and incident investigation.
