Safety Officer (SAR 32/Hour)
Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector places strong emphasis on workplace safety, particularly in major petrochemical and manufacturing facilities where strict HSE procedures are followed every day. Safety Officers play a vital role in protecting workers, monitoring site activities, and supporting compliance with established safety standards. Hayat Advance Inspection Est. is currently accepting applications for an urgent Safety Officer requirement at a SAFCO Plant in Jubail Industrial, offering a minimum rate of SAR 32 per hour for qualified candidates.
Role Overview and Importance
The Safety Officer will support day-to-day health, safety, and environmental activities within a non-Aramco industrial project. The position requires someone who can identify workplace hazards, communicate safety requirements clearly, and help work teams maintain safe operating practices.
Working inside a SAFCO plant environment requires discipline and awareness because multiple industrial activities may take place simultaneously. A capable HSE professional helps reduce workplace risks while supporting the project team in meeting safety expectations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The selected Safety Officer will monitor ongoing work and inspect areas for unsafe conditions or practices. Responsibilities may include conducting toolbox talks, checking PPE compliance, supporting risk assessments, monitoring permit-related safety controls, and communicating hazards to supervisors and workers.
The officer may also assist with incident reporting, corrective-action follow-up, emergency preparedness, and maintaining relevant HSE documentation. Regular communication with site management and work crews will be important to ensure safety requirements are understood and consistently applied.
The successful candidate should be proactive rather than simply reacting to incidents, identifying potential hazards before they develop into serious problems.
Skills, Experience and Eligibility
Applicants must have a Diploma in HSE and the same Iqama profession in HSE, according to the recruitment requirement. Candidates should also have at least three years of relevant experience with SABIC projects.
Practical knowledge of industrial safety procedures, hazard identification, PPE requirements, toolbox meetings, and site inspections will be valuable. Candidates should be confident communicating with workers and supervisors and capable of maintaining professional HSE records.
This is a Non-Aramco position, and the advertised project duration is approximately 2–3 months. FAT is provided according to the recruitment notice.
