HSE Supervisor & HSE Officer (Long Term)
Industrial and energy projects across Saudi Arabia continue to place strong emphasis on qualified HSE professionals who can manage safety standards, documentation, and communication across complex project teams. With multinational contractors increasingly working together, employers need safety personnel who understand international HSE practices and can communicate clearly with different teams. Unitech Arabia Co Ltd has announced an urgent requirement for Aramco-approved HSE Supervisors and HSE Officers for a long-term assignment in the Eastern Province.
Overview of the HSE Opportunities
The recruitment includes 2 HSE Supervisors and 2 HSE Officers, both requiring Aramco approval. Candidates must have 3 or more Aramco approvals, according to the vacancy announcement.
These positions involve more than routine site monitoring. The successful candidates will contribute to project-wide safety compliance, documentation, coordination, and continuous improvement. The assignment includes room-to-room duty and is offered on a long-term basis, making it suitable for experienced HSE professionals seeking continued project work.
Responsibilities and Professional Duties
HSE Supervisors and Officers will help ensure that project activities comply with applicable HSE regulations, international standards, company procedures, and project specifications. They will monitor site performance, identify safety gaps, and work with supervisors and contractors to implement appropriate corrective measures.
The role also involves preparing, reviewing, and maintaining HSE documentation. Because the project may involve English- and Chinese-speaking teams, selected personnel may assist with translating or communicating HSE-related information between English and Chinese. Strong coordination skills will therefore be valuable when working across multiple contractors and nationalities.
Candidates will also support the implementation of project safety requirements and contribute to continual improvement of site HSE performance.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
A Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates should possess a recognized HSE qualification such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or an equivalent certification. First Aid or BLS certification is also preferred.
Applicants must have strong knowledge of international and global safety standards and demonstrate effective communication and coordination abilities. The ability to communicate in both English and Chinese is preferred. The announcement clarifies that candidates do not necessarily need to be Chinese nationals; professionals from other backgrounds who can communicate effectively between English and Chinese may also be considered.
Candidates must meet the stated 3+ Aramco approvals requirement.
