Role Overview & Importance
Safety Officers are an important part of any industrial project because they help prevent accidents, identify workplace hazards, and ensure that employees follow established safety procedures. On a large project in Jafurah, the Safety Officer will work closely with supervisors, workers, and management to promote safe working practices. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards is particularly valuable in environments involving construction, mechanical work, equipment, and other potentially hazardous activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected Safety Officers will monitor daily site activities and identify unsafe conditions before they lead to incidents. Their responsibilities may include conducting workplace inspections, supporting toolbox talks, monitoring the correct use of personal protective equipment, reporting hazards, and assisting supervisors with safety compliance. They may also participate in incident reporting, maintain safety records, and communicate HSE requirements to workers and contractors. The role requires a proactive approach because Safety Officers must be able to recognize changing site conditions and take appropriate action when safety standards are not being followed.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, and an experience certificate is mandatory. A Degree or Diploma is required, along with a NEBOSH qualification. Candidates must provide their NEBOSH certificate together with official email confirmation, as specifically requested by the employer. Relevant Safety or HSE experience will be preferred.
